Cosmetic dentistry also known as aesthetic dentistry is the branch of dentistry which is used to improve the appearance of teeth rather than the functional correction. The cosmetic dentistry is used to improve the teeth that are mainly involve in smile along with the correction of their size, shape, color and position.

Cosmetic filling/ Composite bounding:
Cosmetic filling involves the repairing of the damaged or discolored teeth with a filling material that resembles the of the tooth enamel with the help of a high intensity light and results in the healthy appearance of tooth.
Teeth whitening:
Teeth whitening is the most common popular method in cosmetic dentistry which results in the whitening of teeth. This procedure initially consist of removal of plaque and tater by means of scaling and then bleaching is done to achieve a white surface rather than original color of teeth.
Veneers:
Veneers gives exceptionally real appearance and can resolve many cosmetic problems including cracked or fractured tooth enamel, damaged teeth or gap between the two teeth usually diastema.
The two main types of veneers are:
- Composite veneers.
- Porcelain veneers.
Inlays &on lays:
Inlays and on lays are also known as indirect filling as these fillings are used when there is not enough tooth supporting structure. As they are indirect fillings so are made in dental laboratory and then attached to the teeth/tooth with the adhesive dental cement.
